San Antonio’s Premier All Female Mariachi Group, Mariachi Damas de Jalisco, is Mariachi Entertainment at it’s finest. In order to provide the highest quality, we assembled some of the genre’s most distinguished and skilled musicians. Founded in May 21, 2005, and hand picked by their director Sonia Marin, these exquisite young ladies, ranging from the ages of 21-29, came together to bring the beauty and culture of Mexico to the world. This phenomenal group ranges with talented members, which consists of college students majoring in a diversity of fields to professionals that simply have a passion for Mariachi.

Mariachi Damas de Jalisco boast more than 20 years of professional experience, impressing audiences in concerts, family gatherings, business conventions and receptions all across the United States and Mexico. It could be because the repertoire of Damas is unlike any other ensemble. Together music is chosen to represent the various regions of Mexico. Furthermore the Mariachi genre has the versatility to adopt and adapt various musical genres ranging from classical, country, jazz and even contemporary. Because of this unique talent Mariachi Damas de Jalisco has performed at the 2008 NCAA Final Four tournament, Fiesta Mexicana in Lake Topeka Kansas, Hispanic Heritage Convention in Chicago, The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Traveled internationally to perform for the different United States Army camp sites in South Korea, and most recently became the first Female Group to play at Fiesta Texas. They have also accompanied artists such as Christian Castro, Pasty Torres, Shelly Lares, Rebecca Valadez, Stefani Montiel, Leslie Lugo, and El Grupo Intocable. They have also played alongside Los Galleros, Los Caporales, Azteca de America, and Campanas de America. And even released their first Cd in 2006.Damas de Jalisco is an elite group among many others that in the few years of their existence has attained the respect and the recognition of their South Texas community.
